Just The Way You Are

You don't need balloons or confetti for your picture. They can harm local animals, take away from moment, and you don't have anything to throw away when you are done with your photo session.

Plus, everyone is so proud of you for your accomplishments - you don't need much fanfare.

Leave Only Footprints

You have heard it before: don't pick the flowers. To Keep Pinellas Beautiful, we ask that you don't pick the Sea Oats or Sea Grapes.

It is just as important that you don't step on them, sit around them, or take anything else off the beach (like shells or pebbles). These might be future homes for other sea creatures.

Setting a good example for people around you is important, as well as for future generations.

Unplug & Unwind

You don't need to read complicated research to understand that walking around a park in Pinellas County is like free therapy.

As you find your favorite tree or groups of bushes, notice how many little birds & animals are hanging around.

(With your face in your phone, you will never see this much detail.)

Come back to this area again & again and you will begin to notice subtle changes in the temperature around the trees, the best shadows, as well as the different textures of the mosses during the year.

If you are like me & my family, you should begin to have a close relationship with others who frequent the parks, certain identifiable squirrels & deer, as well as the park rangers.
